So I vaccinated my horse last Monday with a six way and West Nile. On the following Sunday, his lymph nodes were swollen and then the next day (one week after vaccination), he's covered in hives. He doesn't seem to feel bad, not off of his feed, and doesn't appear to be itching. Nothing new in his feed or environment (that I can find anyway). I'm just wondering if he's experiencing vaccinosis or this is just conicidental. He's never had a problem in the past with vaccines and he's never had allergies or hives. Anybody have any thoughts?

Have you taken his temperature?
I would be ringing the vet for an opinion and if needed a consultation.

I'd think it was not related. Usually, in my experience they react within 24 hours. And hives come on in a matter of minutes. I would call your vet and atleast talk to them.

While things in his environment haven't changed, they could have... Things bloom at different times of year sending all kinds of allergens into the air as the seasons change.
