Hello, I have recently purchased a little Filly appaloosa. I will be trailering her home (a 3 hour ride) in the end of September. I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas what would be the best way to bring her home. I have a two horse bumper pull with a full barricade in front so she cannot get to man doors should I keep the one divider in or should I take it out and let her have the full trailer to move in? I cannot tie her she will be too little still.

I am concerned about hauling her without tying her. If she is small enough that she might try to turn around and get stuck that would be extremly dangerous. is the divider a full wall or only a partial, I think if it is only a partial and she absolutly will not tie up I would be tempted to take the divider out. You sure don't want her to get caught under the divider. Has this filly already been weaned or has she ever been hauled? You might want to consult you vet. Good luck and be very careful hauling babies is a big job.
