you are definitely not to big. I spent last summer riding a 15hh horse and two or three other smaller horses and i was 5'7"

it takes a little getting used to but just remember to keep your shoulders back or else you will end up over his neck.

Definately not too big. One of the best dressage pairs I saw was a large pony and a woman that neared 6 ft. The would have been doing major competitions but since they couldn't get him to stick larger than 14.2 it was a no go.

I'm 5'9 and my instructor put me on a horse about the size of yours, I used to think I looked silly but then I went to a show and saw others my size on even smaller horses, so I would say relax and enjoy

You're fine.... I'm 5'4 and ride a 17.1 hh horse and I think I look silly.

I am 5'1" and my horse is smaller then yours, I think my horse and I are the perfect size together! No-way are you to big! not unless you weigh over 250 pounds and it does not look like that is the case!

your about the size of me and my barrel horse. i'm 5' and she's 15 hands, i think shes the perfect size for me, i've also ridden 14 hand horses and i thoughtit was fine.

No, my friend is 5'6" and she rides a 14.2 horse sometimes.

I'm 5'4" and most of the ponies I break are 13'3 to 14.2, and I show them. I don't look big on them and I'm all leg. Your horse is fine, but you are probably so comfortable on your horse that he doesn't feel all that big any more, that is how I feel on my 16.3hh Trekhaner.

You are being silly. A horse can carry 25% of it's own body weight without any trouble. I doubt you are anywhere near that!
