What sort of job could a 13 year old get in Oshawa, Ontario? I mean horsey jobs. I've been riding for about two years. Any suggestions? All are welcome. Thanks!
You could either work at a stable as a groom (Grooming, Tacking, Feeding, Watering), a hand (All the others but including mucking out), or even an Assistant Riding Instructor (Helping with lessons, as in leading and correcting minor posture things, LOL). I used to work as an Assistant RI in Georgia, now I am a groom at a stable and work in return for lessons.
Yea I agree. That is what I did at your age and it is a lot of fun. It's a lot of work but it is better then other teenage jobs!! And like Emily said a lot of times they will trade for lessons or let you ride sometimes and you meet a lot of people, it is great for networking!
