I am not do know how effective join-up or T touch methods are, but you can send Jim Masterson, one of our experts on the site a message and I am sure he will know the answer.

Shelly,
I have used both methods through the years and find they work awsomely. When I am working with a new animal, horse or dog I always use one of those methods. The Ttouch is really good for connecting with your friend and it is very relaxing on the animal both my horses and dog loves the Ttouch method. I extensively learned the Ttouch method and worked it into message therapy, they die for that, not literally. Joining up is good when starting a horse you don't know or getting to know as a training tool and they both teach respect and trust which is excellent for anyone who has had bad experiences with horses or humans.

Yes, they work very well because it is a way of working with the horse, as Kelly said, that is stress free for the horse, which is one of the key concepts of training that a lot of people seem to miss. It's very relaxing for them, and it's a good way for owners to learn how to read their horse and understand their bodies and minds.
