Endruance riding is like racing, but you don't run the whole way. It is basically a very long race where you pace your horse, and test your abilities for a very long ride.

Endurance Riding is cross country horse racing. You usually compete from 12 to 100 miles a day on your horseand it is very physical.

Endurance riding is Competitive Long Distance Trail Riding, it is an international sport and gaining popularity. Endurance riders are screened at different stops along the trail to evaluate the condition of the horse to ensure the health of the horse. Endurance riding can consist of walking, trotting, galloping and even hand walking your horse through rough terrain. It is a very phyical sport for both horse and rider. Arabians have always been very popular with endurance riders but many riders are bringing different horses to this sport today like Mules, Mustangs & crosses which also show a lot of stamina which is important to this event. Comfort and Safety is a main factor in this type of riding discipline. Endurance events are all over the country check them out you will appreciate the stamina that it takes to compete in this sport.
