I need to find a Nose Fly Mask....Something that goes around the horses muzzle WHILE riding. My gelding is super sensitive to bugs around his nose when riding. And I want to make him more comfortable. You might have seen John Anderson use one on one of his mares(shes a bay) at Spruce Meadows. That is the type of "nose fly mask" i'm looking for. Thanks everyone.
That's actually for horses who have the Head Shaking Syndrome... Not so much for horses who are sensitive to bugs. HSS is said to be neuropathic pain that results in the horse shaking their head up and down vertically. Just something I thought I'd share. I ride in a full fly mask when the bugs are bad... It works just as well and they can see fine out of it.
I personally just use a hairnet on my horses muzzle when we ride and the bugs are really bad. works just as well and is a heck of a lot cheaper. I got little velcro tabs at the fabric store to attach it with onto his nose band.
