My family and I went down to Kentucky whle they were setting up for te FEI world equestrian games. I got to see everything and a couple of riders before it even started. I didn't actually get to see the games though. Who went and what did you think if it?

So my horse had an abcess, probably 3 months ago on his rear heel/bulb. He now has a crack going from the back of his hoof to about 3 inches towards the center of his hoof. He hasn't been sore or acting like it's bothering him for the last weeks/months. But today he was limping a bit and acting like his feet were bothering him, so I picked out his hooves and was looking, poking at his crack and he jerked away pretty roughly. I do have the farrier coming out in a few days to trim and check it out. But everytime I've asked about his crack, I'm told it's fine, it's just going to take some time to heal because of the location. He is barefoot and I was debating asking if I should put shoes on his rear feet to help with the pressure, but I really do not want to put shoes on him. We don't do a lot of hard riding either. Anyone have any advice, ideas on how I can make him more comfortable if this is the issue? Cracks just freak me out, I feel like if it keeps going the way it's…

Ok so at my lesson last nightthe gelding i was riding was REALLY touchy with his mouth which he never was before. He would pull even when i would not even pull or pull very lightly. My trainer said that it was most likely begginner riders that have been pulling on his mouth. I know of one rider for SURE that does this. She had someone school him after my ride but i was wondering if their was anything i could do to help?

Do you know the difference between running and a lengthening or and extension? Here is short answer!! My friend Jane Savoie and I were talking about this with our students the other day, and this is what she jotted down!! www.janesavoie.com Hi Guys, People often ask me to explain the difference between "running" and "lengthenings". In fact, in this article I'm also going to describe the difference between running, lengthenings, medium gaits, and extended gaits. 1. Running- When you ask your horse to lengthen his strides and frame, and you hear his tempo (the rate of the repetition of the rhythm) get QUICKER, he's not lengthening. He's just running. 2. Lengthenings- In a good lengthening, your horse lengthens his stride and frame to the utmost he can at this relatively early stage of training (around 1st Level) WHILE staying in the same rhythm and tempo. He ends up covering more ground with each stride. Lengthenings are developed from the working trot or canter. Since…

Please! Tell me what to look for when my Mare is about to foal. I have read many blogs and websites about it, but I'm a nervous wreck! My mare has already...relaxed vulvo, soft bones, dripping milk, v shaped belly, yawns, prominent tail, kinda waddles, and continues to eat. I think these are all the signs but im not sure how to tell if she is having contractions. It seems like everything is inplace but the foal just isnt coming. I'm a wreck! O and she lifts her tail all day long! I NEED ADVICE!

Me and Streetman<3 love him so cutie!!:-)

FOR SALE: A wonderful 3 year old horse. We like to take our training slow, so we have just started her training, and she is doing great. Grace (her name) has been handled with TLC ever since she was born. I have worked with her myself and she is so sweet, very cute and loveable. She is a arabain appaloosa, although not spotted like her leopard Appaloosa dam, she has all the hardiness of an appaloosa plus the movement, charm, and intelligence of her Arabian sire. Grace is registered as a Half-Arabian. She would make a great project for someone. If you want to know more or want pictures, please message me! She is a GREAT horse!!!!!!!
