I have a retired polo mare. She is a 16 yr old Argentine TB around 15.3 hands. I am looking for someone to come ride her or free lease her. She is completely sound and has no vices that I know of. She does need a more experienced rider though( has a lot of energy). If you live in or near Lynchburg VA and are interested please let me know. Thanks

ARE YOU SITTING STRAIGHT IN THE SADDLE? Regardless of which discipline you ride, it's very important to sit straight and square in the saddle. Can you tell if you're collapsing at your waist and sitting crookedly? Ask a ground person to stand behind you. 1. Are your shoulders level (i.e. the same height)? 2. Is your seat in the center of the saddle so that each seatbone is the same distance from the middle of the saddle? If your shoulders aren't level which means that one shoulder is lower than the other, you're collapsed at your waist, your shoulders aren't the same height, and your seat isn't in the middle of the saddle. Here are 3 simple tips to help you sit straight and square: Let's say you've collapsed the left side of your waist, your left shoulder is lower, and your seat is off to the right. 1. Bring your right seat bone over and place it on top of an imaginary line that runs down the center of the saddle from the pommel to the cantle. You won't really be on…

Hi everyone i have a 7 yr old thoroughbred mare that i need to sell. I have a young colt that i plan on keeping a stud and i dnt want her to be a distraction from his training when he matures. I really dnt wnt to sell her but to continue with my equine programe (for college) i must keep the colt and i feel this is the only way. She is 16.3 hnds and is the sweetest mare i have ever met. I training mainly consists of regular riding, lunging and a hunter/jumper regimen. If anybody is interested feel free to message me for more details. Plz &THNKZ. BROOKE

Is anybody looking for a 13 yr old 14.2 arabian dressage/hunter horse? He can do trails, too. He's not good for a beginner but would be fine for intermediate lessons or kid with some experience - he does well at shows, if you're interested, please feel free to ask questions!

I have a 24 year old arabian mare. I was riding her a few weeks ago and she fell completely onto her knees. I immediately got off her and checked all over her but there didn't seem to be anything wrong with her. But everytime I would ride her after that her back legs would buckle under like she was tripping only with her back legs. The vet is coming tomorrow to check on her because I am supposed to be showing her on sunday. I have no idea if these two incidences are related but if anyone has had similar experiences please share!!

I need to advertise so I am. I need to half lease my horse. I live in the Toledo area if there is anybody out there. He's a lazy son of a gun so someone with experience is a plus. He does dressage but has not done it in a while, and he also does hunt seat and over fences. When he works he's very good at it. He's a very well trained horse, easy smooth canter, nice trot and will jump fences up to 3 foot no problem (So far, we've not tried higher he still needs to build muslce) Anybody interested let me know. Thanks!

ok so i had issues a few weeks ago with premier he was hopped up on male hormones lol. so they moved him to a field where not only can he not get to the mares, he cant even see them! and the improvement has been dramatic. the last two rides have been amazing standing at the mounting block, not bolting, listening to my seat and leg like never before. we worked on steering with just my seat and he did it like a champ. i gave him leg pressure reins totally loose, normally he would actually flinch at my pressure and take off at a trot, now i give him leg pressure no rein pressure at all and he went in a complete circle and we walked in a serpentine pattern with just my leg pressure. he even cantered and did not buck or fuss! now first time around the ring at a canter seat steering was out the window leg pressure was barely effective and power steering had been cut lol. i mean we've gotten far buy just being able to trot on a loos rein so the canter needs work . first lap around he turned…
