Is it possible to shorten horse polo wraps? I bought a new pair that are super long but i'd like to use them on a pony. Was thinking of maybe just cutting them?

Hello horsey friends!! I'm back now, my computer crashed, and I just got it back!! I have been dying for answers, but my mare is a 15hh 23y/o quarter mare, I've owned her for a year. I'm planning to work on natural horsemanship, but she has a sore back and has saddle marks from her previous owner. If I were to jump on bareback, would I hurt her? Isn't it the same as the saddle? Anybody know?

My 3 year old often rears when I'm lunging her. I'm afraid she may start doing it while I'm on her, even though she never has. What are the chances of this happening? Also what do I do if she does it and what would are chances of falling back be? I'm not a very experienced rider so any suggestions would be great!

I am very interested in becoming an Equine Massage Therapist. I am in high school at the moment doing a program called running start that allows me to do my junior and senior year at a college so I will graduate with my AA so I will be two years ahead. After I graduate I want to transfer to a larger accredited college and get a Major that will help me on my way to a good career in Equine Massage. I have heard of people getting majors in Equine Studies but I am wondering if there are any other degrees that would be helpful for getting into the career successfully. Would a degree such as Animal Science work? I plan to get my Bachelors in something that would apply to Equine Massage Therapy and then get a certificate in Equine Massage afterwards. Has anyone done this? Or know someone who has done this? I'm going to talk to my councilor but I was hoping to get something from all of you as well (: All suggestions are welcome

I've already liked Equestrian Life on facebook (and my little sidebar on here from facebook says I've liked it) but I've never gotten the points for it, nor does it have that "achievement" checked off... How can I fix that?

I have a three year old quarter horse mare. She has her good days but a lot of the time she rears on the lunge line. She only does it going 1 direction but she is sound and is not in pain. She also sometimes seems to "forget" her training for a week or so then goes back to normal. She catches easy but walks way to close to more when I'm leading her so I stop and make her get back. I also use a rope halter for the extra control. When we ride she has never bucked even when being broke and has never reared. But she has trouble stoping, backing up, and she bites when I flex her. She had only bolted once but it was because her tooth was messed up I think. I need some more exersises to gain more respect. I currently don't have access to a round pen but am getting one soon any suggestions would be great!

Who is your favorite to win today's Preakness? Remember the track is wet, but it hasn't rained real hard.

I am looking for a 3rd horse. I fox hunt and I'm a hunter jumper and would like a horse who could do one of those. I would also like a horse who could event because I would really love to start eventing. I can't spend more than $1,500. And i live outside of Augusta, Georgia and i don't want to travel that far. Please contact me if you have a horse or know someone who does.

Does anyone know of any riding schools around Denver, Colorado? Hopefully one that does more than trail riding.
