What are some reasons a horse would become rib sore? Or just back sore and rib sore in general? He has been stopping at jumps pretty badly recently, even though he LOVES to jump. He is on the same diet as he has been for the past few months: wet feed, flax seed, and Nustep flex, because he is a bit older.
hey i cant get into my other profile my other one is alexandria lucas i asked the question abt the hilason saddles and i was wondering if all my 100+ friends would send me friend request so i can accept them i lost the pass to my gmail i used to the other one so had to make another one thx! and abt the saddle there are special saddle pads you can get for them and i think i might buy another one but buy one with the tree and my mother is getting one that will fit all our horses so ill try that one on my paint mare
I had a pretty serious accident about six months ago. Im no longer afraid of riding horses or working on the ground. The only fear I have is riding MY horse. She is three but very well broke and the accident was not just her fault and she never had acted up and hasn't since but I still get scared when im on her! Any suggestions? Is this normal?
I was wondering if any of you have come across someone (or are someone) who is just totally against a certain gender of horse? I met a gentleman this summer, he fell in LOVE with my mare, Dallas. She's mainly a reiner, so well behaved for the most part, well put together, and very pretty (she's just a tad opinionated sometimes and shows it by bucking), but when he asked me what gender she was and I said she was a mare, he said "that's such a shame. I thought she was a gelding she's so well behaved." He said he would have made an offer to buy her, too, if she was a gelding. I don't know why, I just really find it strange how someone can be so partial, and judge a horse solely on their gender. Like, if it's a good horse, I'd go for it. I would take Dallas's WORST possible day over C.J.'s bad day any time!
For those of you who are active outdoor riders in the winter, what sort of waterproof pants do you recomend riding in? I am determined not to let the icky weather stop me from taking my geldings out on the trails, but I know it will be soaking wet out there if there is snow on the trees at all. Any and all suggestions welcome!!
