I've never played polo before but I'm looking forward to play someday , so how do you train for polo ? I mean what's the classes like ? and how good do you have to be to play an acutal game ?

Hi, I have a 6 year old Argentinian Thoroughbred who hasn't competed for a year but who has played up to 8 goals. I am a novice so need some help if anyone can. Please can anyone advise which bit I should use? She was bred and started her training in Argentina - then she was brought to the UK and handled/ridden only by Argentinians. I'm not sure if they would use different bits? Would be grateful for any advice. Thank you.

Hey :) so im haveing problems with my 2 year old shes really nice one min and then shes a total jerk and she tries to hurt me, ive never hurt her! so when i go to halter her she bites, kicks, or swings her butt at me its really fustrating, i really want to keep her but if she dosnt smarten up im going to sell her to some one who can handle a brat like her and suggestions on how to halter her without the fuss and how can i make her respect me ?

Does anyone do polo because I would like to try one day. It looks like great fun but a little hard maybe? Or do u just need very good balance? Problem is I don't think there is anywhere near my house that offers polo lessons or anything.

Ok so I want to watch the movie Flicka, But on youtube, it won't let me. So I whent onto a couple of sites, but either some, i have 2 do a syrvea(wich never works 4 me),download it(i do not wanna do that, my computer is slow enough)..so if any of use have a site that i can watch flicka without downloading it, or doing a syrvay, please tell me thanks

what would a good polo horse be? im looking into joining a weekan polo club where they teach you how to play and all but first you get to ride around on a horse getting used to them and handaling the stick thingyu so what do you all thin a good polo horse or pony would be? (breed and height and all)

Why is it that generally people like there first horse most and have a deeper stronger bond with them? This may sound weird but I have a deeper bond with Minuet (my 2nd horse) than I ever had with Sonata. I can't explain....but anyway is this weird or what?

Hey so my show horse gets very excited sometimes and when he spooks he spooks and I tonight he started bucking and rearing on the end of the lead and spooked at the ponies tore the lead form my hands and started at a dead run at the fence and did a rheining stop. If he does it again what should I do? Any points on how to make him stop??

I have had my mare for 3 weeks now. She gets turned out in a big 11 acre pasture and is ignoring the other horses (except one who is accepting her queenliness) because she wants to be queen but the top mare of course isnt letting her. Any whoo, whenever I try to go get her out, my mom will wait at the fence or gate, and we will call her. She will walk over to us and stop about 20 feet away. I will talk to her when I am walking to her when I am about to grab her she will run and lunge at me and try to bite me. Almost like she is attacking another horse! The 1st time she did this, I didn't even have a lead rope in my hand. The second, I had a lead with a chain. The third, she started to run, but I dodged out of the way. Every time an experienced horse person is there to help she doesn't do it!! It seriously is starting to feel like she knows what shes doing! What is going wrong? It is probably me. She has had some mindless abuse in her past from her previous owners.
