Hello, my name is Chelsey Sawtell with Black Friar Farm in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, and today we will be discussing informal stadium jumping. The rules don't change during informal stadium jumping. The normal attire for stadium jumping, tall boots, light colored britches, a stock tie, black wool coat and approve safety helmet. Often, during unrated shows of if the weather becomes entirely too hot to wear black wool coat, informal stadium jumping is approve. Informal stadium jumping does not mean slovenly stadium jumping. You still would like your turnout to look professional and neat. Clean tall boot, light colored britches, a Polo shirt of solid collar and approved helmet are always a good taste. As always, we would like to see horse and rider turnout clean, neat, mane's pulled, fetlocks clipped and otherwise looking ready to compete. It would not be out of place to see someone wearing formal attire at an informal jumping meet. Often, people feel as though it is a respect issue for those around to fully dress apart. In closing, though it is informal, we would like to see a nice, neat, tidy turnout horse and rider pair with a collared sleeve shirt in plain or solid colors, light colored britches, polished tall boots and approved safety headgear.
