Equestrian Life is an online community for horse people.
We bring together horse people across all disciplines, breeds and sports.
We invite you to connect with others who love horses as much as you do.
The clothing for para riding should be tight fitting along with an approved helmet to protect your head. Make sure you have on proper para riding clothing with guidance from a para riding instructor in this video on para riding clothing.
This is Priscilla Faulkner with "Horse Time." Students need to wear for lessons, generally, the same thing that someone would wear for a riding lesson. They need to wear, usually, boots with a heel, pants that are jeans or stretchy pants so that they're able to sit on the horse comfortably. A shirt or top that's close to the skin so that the instructor is able to see the movement of their body clearly. They need to wear an approved helmet to protect their head, and that's a requirement of NORA, that they wear an approved helmet. There may be clients who for a variety of reasons need to be dressed in a different manner, especially with regards to footwear, and accommodations can be made for them depending on their needs.
