Hi, my name is Jennifer Oliver. I'm an equine massage therapist, and the benefits of equine massage are very many for your horse. They, it helps really tremendously and people are starting to notice this more and more often, in the equine industry. All of these different modalities that are coming about, like chiropractic massage, acupuncture. What massage specifically does, is that it finds the areas in your horse, where the muscle is tense. A build-up of any kind of tension can vary from a lot of things from over work to just you know, like any, if he has an acute injury or you know, age. Any of those can cause your horse to be stiff. What I do is, I go through, I go from head to toe of the horse and I check all through the body. And what the strokes do, as I'm working, it releases that tension. But it also increases blood flow, oxygen and nutrients to those muscles. To help them really grow and really, it really is a huge benefit .
