Getting into the equestrian sports begins with reining, which is a category accommodating all levels of expertise from beginners to professionals. Starting competing for fun in equine sports with helpful advice in this video on riding and caring for horses.
Looking to get into the equine sport, reining is a very fun and competitive sport to get into, a lot of possibilities. It's also just a little bit cheaper than a lot of the other equine sports. The horses are still a little pricey, can be costly, but the upkeep and the training of these animals is a little cheaper than a lot of other equine events. It's a fun sport for the whole family, there's lots of possibilities from green, green as grass trainers all the way up to the open rider and I'm pro rider. There's levels for everybody to be able to compete. And we'd like to thank Erin Michalski for the use of her horse, Mr. Chocoholic, who is in the NRHA, top 20 all time earning category 2 horses. He's won over 60,000 in non-pro competition.
