Video Transcript

When we're exercising our horses, it's very important to warm them up. They're just like you and me, that you just come out and start performing, they get muscle cramps just like we do. When I come out, I always walk them for a few minutes and then jog and loosen everything up, loosen their tendons and ligaments up and loosen their muscles, and then we go to work. And then also it's very important too, after the work, to walk your horses out, cool them down, it prevents the lactic acid buildup in their muscles. We do also give turn up to our horses just to keep the mind a little more occupied and a little happier.
