Olympian Gina Miles interviews Steven Bradley on Day 3 of the Rolex Event
Stephen S. Bradley is an Olympic Event rider Stephen Bradley has been competing internationally since 1989, and represented the United States in Olympic competition in Barcelona in 1992. He is an accomplished horseman whose competitive achievements include wins in the US, Canada, and Great Britain.
In 1993, Stephen was only the second American in history to win Great Britain’s prestigious Burghley CCI****, following in the footsteps of his mentor, Eventing legend Bruce Davidson. That year he went on to be named Equestrian Athlete of the Year by the United States Olympic Committee. Stephen also won the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event in 1996 and captured the Checkmate International CCI*** 3 years in a row in 1991, 1992, and 1993.
In 2003, Stephen Bradley and Brandenburg’s Joshua were members of the gold medal winning US team at the Pan American Championships. With Joshua and the Russian-bred From, Stephen is preparing for the Rolex CCI**** in 2004, a qualifier for this year’s Olympic Games.
Stephen rode his horse Brandenburg's Joshua to a third place victory in the 2006 Rolex Three Day Event and is short listed for the World Games in Germany.
Stephen is currently based in Leesburg, Virginia, where he teaches and trains.
