Chris interviews the UK's William Fox-Pitt after his 6th place finish at Rolex
William Fox-Pitt William secured an Olympic bronze medal this summer having won team silver at Athens in 2004. Has won Badminton, Burghley, Blenheim, Bramham and Gatcombe. His best season to date was in 2007 – when he scoured seven three-day event wins.
William is married to Channel 4 racing presenter Alice Plunkett and they have two sons; Oliver who was born in 2005 and Thomas who was born in 2006. They live in Dorset.
Apart from eventing full time William is a Board Director of the Event Riders Association.
He is also Vice President of the Dorset County RDA.
William started eventing when he was 15, having ridden from a young age encouraged by his mother who is the DC of the West Street Branch of The Pony Club. It was not until he graduated from London University in 1993 that eventing became his career.
