After a few exercises, running the course should demonstrate how the horse and rider absorbed the skills learned during the exercises. Determine what a horse and rider should work on after running the jumping course with helpful tips from an experienced Grand Prix rider in this video on horse exercises.
So I demonstrated a little bit of the exercises I do to prepare to get to the course. Now I'm going to go ahead and jump the course, and see how my exercises and the work I did carries over onto the course. And then if there is an area that needs to be worked on again, I'll either do more today, or I will make a game plan for next time I school him in a few days. I will put that in my memory bank, and I will remember what he needs to do. So anyway, I am going to go ahead and jump the course now. This is my eight year old stallion Upendo, and here we go. So this first three will be an on strive forward as three. There you go. So he did that quire well, paid attention to that double, to the three verticals. I think a little time allowed here just in case the time is snug, whoa, a little rub, a nice rail. That's great, it a great reaction to a nice vault. That's a part of a young horse I don't mind that, I'm going to let him quit on that. That's a great educational rail for him, it was a spread obstacle where he had to reach, and then he has to shorten. So being a young horse, he makes a mistake. When he gives all his power on a spread fence, when he has to shorten up, that is when he has his problem. So now I know for next time I need to practice that. So that will be my next weeks exercise for him, and that's it.
