A show shirt for riding horses should be fitted in the wrist but roomy around the shoulders and back for more comfortable movement. Determine the proper attire for a horse show with help from the owner of an English tack store in this video on horse supplies.
Hi, this is Tori at The Leading Rein, I'm going to teach you how to fit a show shirt. Today we have Francesca and Danielle here and we're getting them ready to go to a show. Francesca has a nice long sleeve shirt on. You don't want it to be too long in the wrist and you want it to be pretty roomy in the shoulders because when they ride, and they go over fences, put your arms forward, they have to put their arms forward so you don't want it to pull too much in the back. This also fits Danielle very well. It's a very nice shirt. When you're showing you have to where something called a choker. And that goes around the neck and it just gives you a much more polished look in the show ring. In a lot of schooling shows around town, or really around anywhere, a lot of times they'll let you wear a polo shirt and they'll also say jacket's optional. So you just want to check with the show organizer and your trainer to see what your proper attire for a show would be.
