This is Maggie Connolly with Hawthorne Stables. I want to talk a little bit about choosing the right vet professional for you and your horse. There are many different vets that specialize in different areas of expertise. There are also some that just do basic general medications. It is wise to do your research and find out which type of vet specialize let's say, in lameness type issues or ones that are just local; they can come to your barn; they can do your, your routine types of vaccination; pulling CogAts test and things of that sort. Also, what I, I like to do is I like; I have my Western medicine philosophies, but I also like to implement Eastern philosophies. I do a lot of chiropractic and acupuncture on my horses. My horses are, are athletes, just like any other type of professional athlete and I want to make sure that they are as comfortable and relax in doing their job as possible 'cause only a relax, comfortable horse is going to be a trainable horse and one that's obviously going to perform up to its highest potential. The Eastern philosophies and acupuncture is becoming a lot more popular. I always believe in, in providing the best care both Western and Eastern and you can find veterinary professionals that will deal with the Holistic manners as well the Western manners in finding the right match for you to keep your horse well and sound is, is available to you via the Internet, your local barns or even your barn manager may have a list of vets that provide the services that you're looking to, to provide your horse the optimal and best of care. This is Maggie Connolly with Hawthorne Stables.
