Hi I am Teri Carter of Saddlebrook Stables in Castle Hayne, North Carolina, and today I am going to talk to you a little bit about paint horses. This is Bubba, he is what we consider an Overo paint. Not only does he have the black and white color configurations on his body, but what makes him what is called an Overo is there is more black across his top line than there is white. There is another type of paint horse called Tobiano, or color configuration of the paint horse called Tobiano, and that is when you have more white across the bigger part of the top line than dark. Bubba here, like I said, is an Overo. There is also a couple of other names for other color of the paint, and if you have a black and white paint such as this, it is considered a piebald paint. If you had a paint where the colored areas were more brown with white, that would be considered a Skewbald paint. And that is all the about the paint horse.
